Course outline:
The Book of Ezekiel has always been difficult to understand due to its symbolic character. The visions and signs in the book are strange to the sense of modern readers. A serious study of Ezekiel demands the study of Israel’s exilic context. This course is a close reading of the book of Ezekiel in its canonical context and its focus is theological. The following section will be covered in this course.

  1. An Introduction to the Prophetic Literature and the Book of Ezekiel
  2. The Historical Context of Ezekiel
  3. History of Interpretation on Ezekiel
  4. Explaining problematic passages ( Ch. 16 & 34)
  5. The Theological Significance of Ezekiel
  6. Contemporary Relevance
  7. Preaching Ezekiel

பாடத்தின் சுருக்கம்:

எசேக்கியேல் தீர்க்கதரிசன புத்தகத்தைப் புரிந்துகொள்வது சுலபமான காரியம் அல்ல; பலவிதமான அறிகுறிகளும், மற்றும் தீர்க்கதரிசனங்களும் அடங்கி உள்ள இந்த பு த்தகம் நம்முடைய புலன்களுக்கு  எட்டாதவைகளாக உள்ளது. இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களின் சிறைத்தசேத  சூழலையும் மற்றும் எசேக்கியேலினுடைய வாழ்க்கை நிலைமையையும் ஆழமாகப் படிப்பது மிகவும் அவசியம்.  இந்தப் பாடம் எசேக்கியேல் புத்தகத்தை வேதத்தின் மையமாகக் கொண்டு இறையியல் சார்ந்த காரியங்களை கற்றுக்கொள்ள வழிவகுக்கும். கீழ்க்கண்ட பகுதிகளை நாம் இந்தப் பாடத்தில் விவாதிக்கலாம்.
