STM rollout the new curriculum in 2021 and introduced SEVEN areas of concentration for BTh, BD and MDiv programmes. The seven areas of concentration are:
- Biblical Study
- Old Testament
- New Testament
- Theology and History
- Christian Theology
- Church History
- Practical Theology
- Pastoral Care and Ministry
- Missiology
- Christian Spirituality and Worship
Students are required to complete at least 15 credit hours in an area of concentration, this may include writing a thesis or two research papers in close consultation with a supervisor, to ensure all requirements are fulfilled. For example, in order to major in the discipline of Biblical Studies − Old Testament (OT), one is required to pursue Biblical Hebrew 2, Advance Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Theology/Old Testament Theology, and another two Old Testament exegesis courses or two research papers or writing a thesis in the area of Old Testament, where an advanced exegesis level of competency is expected. Please note that the specific areas of major/concentration field are offered subject to the availability of supervisors.
