Dr Elaine Wei-Fun GOH is a faculty in the Old Testament Studies in Seminari Theoloji Malaysia since 2008. She is currently the Dean of Centre of Postgraduate Studies and the Director of Centre for Bible Engagement. She received her Doctor of Theology from South East Asia Graduate School of Theology/ATESEA Theological Union in 2013 and Master of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2007. She had also earlier completed her Master of Divinity from the seminary in 2000.
Her primary research interests include Wisdom Literature, Song of Songs, Old Testament Theology, cross-textual hermeneutics, and biblical interpretation. She has published commentaries, monographs, and journal articles in Mandarin and in English. Her work includes Cross-Textual Reading of Ecclesiastes with the Analects: In Search of Political Wisdom in a Disordered World (Eugene, OR: Pickwick Publications, 2019), and “Education, Learning, and Wisdom,” Exploring the Old Testament in Asia: Evangelical Perspective (Cumbria: Langham Global Library, 2022): 145-164. She has been granted a Research Scholar in Princeton Theological Seminary (Sept 2011-Jan 2012), and a Research Fellow in Fuller Theological Seminary (Jan-May 2020). She received Society of Biblical Literature’s Outstanding Mentor Award in 2023 by Status of Women in the Profession Committee.
Dr Goh is also serving under Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Malaysia in pastoral roles at several churches. In the weekends, she connects her passion in biblical studies to various churches, in theological forums and bible seminars.
吴慧芬博士（Dr. Elaine Wei-Fun GOH）自 2008 年起在马来西亚神学院是旧约圣经研究讲师。目前她亦担任研究院中心以及圣经研究中心的主任。她于 2013 年在东南亚神学研究院/东南亚神学联盟获得神学博士学位，并于 2007 年在普林斯顿神学院获得神学硕士学位。此外，她于 2000 年在本院完成道学硕士学位。
她的主要研究兴趣包括智慧文学、雅歌、旧约神学、跨文本诠释学及圣经诠释。她以中英文出版若干释经书籍、专著及期刊专文。她的著作包括：《传道书与论语》，《传道书析读：以敬以虔活在当下》以及《箴言释义》等。她曾获普林斯顿神学院研究学者（2011 年 9 月至 2012 年 1 月）及富勒神学院访问学者（2020 年 1 月至 5 月）奖助，并于 2023 年获得圣经文学学会（Society of Biblical Literature）职业女性委员会颁发的“杰出导师奖”。
吴博士同时是马来西亚卫理公会西马华人年议会的传道人。每逢周末，她将圣经研究的热情与教会接连，积极参与圣经教导和神学讲座。
