Synopsis: 
In times of crisis and tension in the world and the church, the Christian monastic tradition has been revived by Christians seeking to respond to the call of Christ’s gospel. At the root of this tradition is a desire for singleness of heart–to put God at the centre of our personal and communal lives. Join STM’s newest lecturer, Rev. Dr. Lee Soo Tian, whose expertise is in Church History and Christian Spirituality, as he shares insights from Christian monasticism and how this tradition speaks meaningfully into the lives of all Christians today, living as we are in a crisis-laden age.

Our Speaker:
Rev. Dr. Lee Soo Tian joined STM as a lecturer in the English and Bahasa Malaysia Departments beginning 2025. An ordained minister in the Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia, he is a dedicated scholar specializing in Church History and Christian Spirituality. His passion for teaching and research enriches his ministry, equipping students with a deeper understanding of the historical and spiritual foundations of the Christian faith.
