Course Synopsis:
The ‘An Introduction to Peace Theology’ course explores biblical and theological foundations of peace, justice, and dealing with conflict, with a focus on the ASEAN context. Students critically engage with peacebuilding models, ethical debates on violence and war, and the role of the Church in conflict transformation. Through interfaith dialogue, environmental justice, and contemporary theology, the course equips students to develop faith-based peace initiatives and transformative strategies, through an end-of-course project.
