Through literary, theological, and historical-critical approaches, students will engage with Job’s profound questions on suffering, justice, divine sovereignty, and human integrity. Attention will be given to the structure of the book, its dialogues and monologues, the role of the divine speeches, and the editorial framework. Students will also examine the reception of Job in Jewish, Christian, and interreligious traditions, and consider its relevance for contemporary theological reflection and pastoral care.
