Course Description:
This course will explore the theoretical framework and practical application of integral mission. It will introduce ‘Holistic Development Framework’ which is a holistic approach that integrates proclamation of the Gospel with social responsibility, justice, compassion, and transformation. This course will also explore how faith communities can embody the Kingdom of God through both word and deed, addressing issues such as poverty, inequality, injustice, and human flourishing. Students in this course will engage with the dynamic relationship between the Gospel, culture, and context. Recognizing that mission is lived out within diverse social, cultural, political, and economic realities, the course equips students to thoughtfully discern how God is at work in specific cultural contexts. The course will equip students to develop contextual sensitivity, intercultural competence, and the ability to navigate complexity in global mission.
