Please note, however, that although these resources are recommended by persons associated with STM, the viewpoints published online are those of the authors, and not necessarily that of STM or STM lecturers.
The Anglican Theological Review has been the unofficial journal of the seminaries of the Episcopal Church in the United States and the Anglican Church of Canada. The journal is committed to creative intellectual engagement with Christian tradition, and to interdisciplinary inquiry that includes literature and the arts, philosophy, and science. In the spirit of sound learning that marks Anglican divinity, the aim is to foster scholarly excellence and thoughtful conversation in and for the church. The contents of the ATR are intended to be focally, but not exclusively, Anglican in subject matter and approach.
The Asia Journal of Theology (AJT) is the organ of the Board of Theological Education of the Senate of Serampore College (university) and the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia. The purpose of the journal is to encourage Asian biblical scholarship and theological thinking; to relate the Gospel to our cultural, historical, and religious situation in Asia; to study problems related to the teaching of theology and aims of theological education in Asia; to share news about member schools of the Associations and to maintain contact with theology and ministry beyond the region of Asia.

Published since 1920 by the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, Biblica is a research journal and appears four times a year. It is dedicated to biblical studies on the Old and New Testament, and intertestamentary literature, and covers fields of research, such as exegesis, philology, and history. The online full-text version was launched in 1998 (from Vol. 79 onwards).
The Briefing is a print magazine published once in two months by Matthias Media since 1988, and is one of Australia’s leading evangelical magazines. Articles cover biblical studies, theology, Christian ministry, and a Christian perspective on world events. Selected full-text articles are available on the Briefings website.
The Christian Classics Ethereal Library is a digital library of hundreds of classic public domain Christian books selected for edification, education and theological study. CDRI, a former project of ATLA and the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), is a repository of digital resources contributed by member libraries and made possible by a generous grant from the Henry Luce Foundation. The CDRI currently has over 40 collections containing digital images of woodcuts, photographs, slides, papyri, coins, maps, postcards, manuscripts, lithographs, sermons, shape-note tune books, and various forms of Christian art, architecture, and iconography. Its coverage focus includes ancient Near East, missions, world religion, and more.
This free biographical dictionary is a repository of Christian biographies in Asia.Its primary purpose is to glorify God through making available a wide collection of stories about God’s people serving Him throughout the centuries in Asia, stories that are both inspiring and instructive. The mission of DCBAsia is, thus, to collect, preserve and make freely available, to an audience of both scholars and general readers: 1) Biographies of church leaders and laity who have had a significant impact on the growth of Christianity in Asia; and 2) The histories of indigenous religious movements, churches, and Christian communities.

The Globethics.net Library is a free, open online library aimed at providing quality resources on applied ethics, education and religious studies from all over the world. It incorporates the holdings of the Global Digital Library on Theology and Ecumenism (GlobeTheoLib). Content in the library is available in multiple languages and is harvested from more than 3,000 open access repositories. The library currently holds more than 4 million documents, including articles, books, reference works, dissertations, conference proceedings, case studies, and educational resources, accessible free of charge, in full text and via a multi-lingual portal. You may also create a free library account to access restricted content, subscribe to new content and to submit your research.
16. Internet Archive
The Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. Its mission is to provide everyone with universal access to all knowledge. The book collection alone numbers over 4 million titles covering various subjects in many languages including English, Chinese and Malay. Some of these books can be freely read and downloaded; others can be borrowed to be read on their online book reader for either 1 hour or 14 days, depending on availability. 17. Journal for the Study of Christian Culture (bilingual: Chinese & English)
The Journal for the Study of Christian Culture is a semi-annual journal, peer-reviewed anonymously by a joint committee of well-known scholars in and outside of China. It is a project of the Institute for the Study of Buddhism and Religious Theory, a key research centre in the Chinese humanities and social sciences at Renmin University of China. There is also a standing collaboration with the Hong Kong-based Institute of Sino-Christian Studies. The editors of the Journal pay special attention to the dialogue between Chinese and Western ideas, the contemporary interpretation of history and the classics and inter-disciplinary study of Christian cultures. They work hard to overcome established boundaries and go beyond the boundaries of the secular and transcendent, providing a public platform for cultural exchange and academic research.
The Journal of Biblical Literature (JBL) is the journal of the Society of Biblical Literature and includes definitive research, scholarly articles and critical notes by members of the Society. The JBL Archive webpage currently provides free full-text access to back issues from 2003-2011 to developing nations, including Malaysia.
JSTOR provides free access to more than 8,000 Open Access ebooks from 100+ publishers, including Brill, Cornell University Press, De Gruyter, and University of California Press. Loebolus provides open access to all the public domain Loeb Classical Library volumes, with the aim of making them more easily downloadable.

The mission of Open Access Digital Theological Library (OADTL) is to curate high-quality content in religious studies and related disciplines from publisher websites, institutional repositories, scholarly societies, archives, and stable public domain collections. Research in Ministry (RIM) is a free thesis and dissertation abstract database where users can search for and share the outcomes of research conducted in graduate programs of study related to ministry, theology, and religion.The RIM database currently contains over 14,000 records.

26. Sefaria Library
The Sefaria Library is assembled by Sefaria, a non-profit organization dedicated to building the future of Jewish learning in an open and participatory way. The Sefaria Library is not merely an archive for preserving Jewish texts, but a free living library of Jewish texts and their interconnections, in Hebrew and in translation. Texts include Tanakh, Mishnah, Talmud, Midrash, Halakhah, and more.
TC is a peer-reviewed open access journal and online publication of the Society of Biblical Literature. TC publishes full-length scholarly articles, shorter notes, project reports, and reviews of works in the field of biblical textual criticism. It includes articles on aspects of textual criticism of the Jewish and Christian scriptures (including extracanonical and related literature), especially on the transcending of the traditional boundary between Hebrew Bible and New Testament textual criticism, as well as the relationship between textual criticism and other disciplines. 28. Themelios
Themelios is an online international, evangelical, peer-reviewed theological journal operated by The Gospel Coalition that expounds and defends the historic Christian faith. Its primary audience is theological students and pastors, though scholars read it as well. The editorial team draws participants from across the globe as editors, essayists, and reviewers. The site aims to “make high quality theological material available throughout the world, thus providing Bible teachers and pastors with the resources they need to spread the Gospel in their countries.” It contains full-text versions of many journals, as well as digitized versions of selected out-of-print books. 31. Tyndale Bulletin
The Tyndale Bulletin is a peer-reviewed academic journal for biblical scholarship and related disciplines. As of October 2021, the Tyndale Bulletin is now a fully open access journal. Articles are initially released online on a rolling basis, with an annual print volume also being produced, including all articles from the previous year. Since it was established in 1956, it has established a reputation for high quality scholarship, publishing the work of over 500 scholars.
The Wesleyan Theological Journal (WTJ) is the journal of the Wesleyan Theological Society, which is a scholarly society that exists to encourage the exchange of ideas among Wesleyan-Holiness theologians. The WTJ Archive webpage currently provides free access to back issues from Vol. 1 (1966) to Vol. 45 (2010), downloadable in pdf format.
