STM Online Subscriptions

STM Library subscribes to various online resources in order to support and supplement the research needs of the STM community. Access to these resources is restricted solely to STM's official users (i.e. STM faculty, lecturers, staff, and students who are officially registered for STM study programmes). Alumni Life members are also granted access to selected resources (*). Kindly note that the login details provided to official users are strictly for personal use only and should not be shared with others.

1. EBSCOhost® Resources (OpenAthens)
STM Library subscribes to the following resource collections hosted by EBSCO on its EBSCOhost® platform. Users will be able to search all the EBSCOhost subscriptions simultaneously by default (bringing together e-books, periodicals and other content for a seamless search experience), or opt instead to search each collection separately. Click on the common access link above to search the various resources.

a) AtlaSerials PLUS® (Atlas PLUS®) includes more than 650+ full-text journals in many diverse areas of religion and theology, with full-text content in more than 20 languages from more than 40 different countries. Atlas PLUS includes all of the titles in Atla’s original full-text product, AtlaSerials® (Atlas®), and 390+ additional full-text titles. b) Bibliography of Asian Studies™ (BAS) 
BAS is produced by the Association for Asian Studies and covers all subjects with special focus on the humanities and social sciences. A comprehensive Western-language database on East, Southeast and South Asia, this bibliography is intended for students and scholars interested in any aspect, discipline or sub-region of Asia. Through its extensive bibliographical coverage, it is an excellent means for discovering citations and the full-text of Western-language journal articles, review articles, conference proceedings and chapters in edited volumes and Festschriften published anywhere in the world that deal with East, Southeast and South Asia and with the overseas Asian communities. Several hundred journals that focus on Asia are indexed in the BAS.
 
c) EBSCO eBooks™ Religion Collection 
This ebook collection aims to support the research needs of students and faculty in the study of religion, covering a broad range of religious subjects (including philosophy, ethics, history of religions, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and religious texts) to help readers explore religious beliefs, faith, cultural systems and world views. Featuring close to 10,000 titles from many university presses, academic publishers and reputable religion publishers, titles in this collection range from introductory text for undergraduate coursework to more complex works for advanced scholars.
 
2. Biblical Archaeology Society Library (login ID and password required) 
The Biblical Archaeology Society is a nonprofit, nondenominational, educational organization dedicated to the dissemination of information about archaeology in the Bible lands. Their online archive, the BAS Library, is an unmatched Biblical archaeology resource providing a wealth of material by world-renowned scholars.

Brill’s online Religious Studies journals collection includes 60 journal titles to support teaching, learning and research in: Biblical Studies, Christian Studies, Jewish Studies, Islamic Studies, Mission Studies, Religious Studies, Theology. How to do a general search on the main Brill homepage instead of accessing the specific journal links ...
To search, just click on the search icon on the top right hand corner and key in your search terms accordingly (Note: If accessing off STM campus, please ensure you "Login to my Brill account" and fill in the remote access login details provided by STM Library). With the resulting hits, it is recommended that you refine your search by clicking on the three-line down arrow icon on the top left hand corner, just below the word “BRILL”. On the drop down menu, select
  • "Journal article" under "Publication Type",
  • "Journal" under "Product Type", and
  • "Subscribed content" under "Access".
Click on the article you want to view for more details. Only those articles with a green "unlocked" icon indicates that you have access to the full text. .
 
4. Cambridge Journals Online (OpenAthens)
STM Library subscribes to the following online journals through Cambridge University Press. Click on the links below to access STM's subscribed journals.
 
The online Canterbury Dictionary of Hymnology replaces the print Dictionary of Hymnology produced by John Julian in 1892, with a supplement in 1907, and is an essential reference resource for scholars of global hymnody, with information on the hymns of many countries and languages, and a strong emphasis on the historical as well as the contemporary. Updated regularly with additions, amendments and corrections.
 
6. Christianity Today (login ID and password required)
Christianity Today (CT) is more than a magazine. In case you’re wondering, JSTOR stands for "Journal STORage". STM users have access to the various JSTOR journal collections. One helpful collection is the JSTOR Religion Journals collection, which grants full-text search of almost 90 journal titles, covering biblical studies as well the history and philosophy of religious thought spanning traditions, periods, and critical approaches. CNKI中国知网是目前世界上最大的连续动态更新的中国学术期刊全文数据库,收录中国7400种重要学术类期刊,以学术、技术、政策指导、高等科普及教育类期刊为主,内容覆盖自然科学、工程技术、农业、哲学、医学、人文社会科学等各个领域。本院图书馆订阅之数据库包括“中国期刊全文数据库(CJFD)”、“中国学术辑刊全文数据库 (CCJD)”、“中国博硕士论文全文数据库(CDMD)”、“中国重要报纸全文数据库(CCND)”,用户能够在一个界面下完成以上所有数据库的检索.

微读书城是一款由微读圣经团队精心打造的电子书购买、阅读平台。致力于将中文基督教资源数字化,装备全球的华人基督徒。目前平台上以电子书资源为主,以后也会加入影音、课程等内容。目前微读书城平台已上架600余本正版基督教电子书籍,预计到2022年底可达到1000本。书籍分为六大类:研经与注释、神学、历史与传记、基督徒生活、事工、文艺类,供用户选择和阅读。

HyRead ebook 图书馆电子书提供文学、科普、休闲、财经、育儿、童书等各类电子书及现刊杂志,使用者可以借阅图书馆所提供的电子书,可立即线上阅读或下载行动阅读,体验电子书阅读乐趣及便利性。电子书将根据图书馆的需要购买。
