Audio and Video Resources

Consists of CDs, VCDs, DVDs, CD-ROMS and multimedia sets.

  • Most of the collection is arranged numerically in the audiovisual cabinet from 000-999 (Dewey Decimal System), and then alphabetically by suffix within the 000-999.
  • Audio CDs are prefixed “AC”; VCDs and DVDs “ACV”; CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs “ACI”.
  • Each media format is shelved separately in different sections of the audiovisual cabinet.

Loan period:

  • General items: 2 weeks; may be renewed twice (subject to reservation by other patrons).
  • Items designated “R” (Reference) and “ACI” (CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs) cannot be borrowed; strictly for reference use on the Multimedia Computer provided in the Audiovisual Room. Kindly seek staff assistance.

  • Under no circumstances should users duplicate or make copies of the audiovisual resources as this constitutes piracy and a breach of copyright laws.
  • If there is any defect with the audiovisual items, please make a report at the Circulation Desk.
