Back Issues and Bound Volumes

The Periodicals Room is where back issues of periodicals (i.e. not the current year) are stored either as loose issues, filed, or bound volumes (which are are several issues of the same periodical grouped together consecutively by date in one volume).

Location: Lower Level
Shelving system:
  • Journals and magazines are arranged alphabetically according to periodical title and chronologically within the series. English and Malay/foreign language periodicals are intershelved in one movable stacks unit, whilst the Chinese periodicals are shelved in a separate stacks unit.
  • Newsletters are filed and arranged alphabetically according to title in the newsletter section.

Loan Period: No borrowing; for reference use in the Library only.

Please return periodicals to their correct location on shelf in the Periodicals Room after use.
