The Open Shelf Collection consists of books in English, Chinese, Malay, Tamil and other indigenous/foreign languages.
Location: Lower Level
Call Number: (see Understanding Call Numbers)
- Arranged numerically from 000-999 (Dewey Decimal System), and then alphabetically by suffix within the 000-999.
- English and indigenous/foreign language books have no prefix. These are intershelved.
- Malay/Indonesian books are prefixed “M” and shelved together in the Malay section.
- Chinese books are prefixed “C” and shelved in the Chinese section.
- Tamil books are prefixed “T” and shelved in the Tamil section.
Loan period: 2 weeks; may be renewed twice (subject to reservation by other patrons)
Overdue fine: RM1.00 per item each working day.
Please help to return books to their correct location on shelf after use.
